Construction Administrator
Make an Impact
As a Construction Administrator, you will coordinate clients, internal staff, and contractor communications to ensure the design intent is being met throughout the course of the project. You will review field progress, create concise reports, and facilitate RFI responses through effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, you may serve as an Owner’s Representative, managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Deliver Results
- Review work scopes and participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings with contractors.
- Understand and ensure compliance with construction documents during project execution.
- Conduct field observations to verify that construction activities align with project documentation and standards.
- Provide detailed field reports promptly to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Review and approve pay applications and cost changes, collaborating with owners and contractors to maintain alignment with project budgets.
- Serve as a point of contact for RFIs, ensuring that questions are resolved quickly and accurately through team coordination.
- Mentor staff and share "Lessons Learned" to elevate project quality and office knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Licensure & Certification: CSI-CDT certification expected within 12 months (training and test fees provided).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Construction Administrator or 10 years as a Project Architect or Project Manager.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Project, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, building codes, sustainability practices, and project QA/QC processes.
