The Communications Specialist has an integral role in building and executing communication strategies that effectively engage external audiences and internal employees. This role maintains the voice and tone of the Progressive Companies' brand and culture through communication, technology, materials, and process  

 

This role is innovative in its support of marketing strategy and employee experience, creating an environment that is a magnet for talent and clients. The Communications Specialist works with team members of the Marketing and Talent teams to support the delivery of an aligned vision and strategy.  

 
 
 

Deliver Results

 
  • Work with the Marketing team to build multi-faceted marketing campaigns, with a variety of tactics to create and nurture new leads.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure company website content and thought-leadership content is consistently updated, optimized, and reflects the brand.
  • Develop internal communication campaigns in support of initiatives such as organizational change strategies, all company townhall meetings, corporate initiatives, program rollouts, and employee experience activities.
  • Ensure a consistent application of the organization’s brand and talent messages across all communication vehicles and key audiences, including performance based design, sustainable and inclusive design initiatives, core values, employee benefits, etc.
  • Collaborate with team members, IT support teams, and external vendors to manage technical systems used for internal communications and manage updates to the company intranet- known as Kate “.
  • Take photography, create videos, manage/edit podcast recordings in alignment with editorial calendar and project announcements.
  • Manage content assets to ensure relevancy and quality; assets may include but not limited to:
    • Awards
    • Blogs
    • Case studies
    • Impact videos
    • Infographics
    • Podcasts
    • Project profiles
    • Client Testimonials  
    • Whitepapers
  • Work with Director(s) and other stakeholders to create a PR strategy that includes inbound campaign efforts, project announcements, and growth story to build awareness.
  • Build a social media content calendar in alignment with the overall marketing content calendar and strategy.
  • Manage and monitor all social media platforms (Company Intranet, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, etc.) for the business.
  • Create SEO strategy to align with organizational goals.

 

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or public relations.
  • 4+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Hard-working, self-motivated, person who is passionate about firm brand and employee experience.
  • Experience in website content management and intranet development/maintenance.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; can articulate brand voice in all communications.
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize strategy and tactics.
  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects.
  • Extraordinary client service and commitment to connecting to people.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong Google Analytics experience (certification is a plus).
