Estimator
Make an Impact
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for creating estimates from conceptual design drawings and narratives through contract documentation for the design and design-build teams. You will have the opportunity to act as a strategic partner to leaders in the organization through performing accurate quantity takeoffs, maintaining unit pricing databases, and providing other strategic information to inform design and budgeting.
Deliver Results
- Estimate proficiently during all phases of design:
- Initial conceptual estimates for budgeting purposes.
- Schematic and design development estimates with detailed breakdowns.
- Construction document and bidding estimates.
- Collaborate in early involvement in proposals and contract negotiations to establish scope of work, schedule, and budget.
- Serve the client’s best interest and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and employees.
- Help keep building projects within the client’s budget limitations through accurate and timely estimating information provided to our design teams.
- Assist with estimating for design projects. Provide estimating information and expertise to assist design teams to design to our clients’ budgets.
- Contribute to preconstruction services, including identifying contractors and subcontractors and providing bidding services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in an Estimator or Construction Estimator role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient in Bluebeam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management or Construction Management, or equivalent.
- OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Certification.
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Associate Estimator Professional (AEP).
