Architectural Designer - Automotive
Make an Impact
As a Design Architect II, you will be involved in the full architectural project process, with a focus in generating and translating design concepts into final solutions for automotive dealerships. You will collaborate across a variety of disciplines to create complete documentation in all phases within the established design principles, budget, and schedule.
Deliver Results
- Lead clients through all phases of the design process with support from senior staff. Understand the overall strategy for producing documents and assist in identifying the content of the deliverables at each stage of the work, nurturing the design concepts through all phases of the process.
- Support senior design staff and other team members in all phases of the design process including predesign, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, bidding, and construction administration.
- Hand sketch and develop designs, graphic presentations, and 3D renderings to communicate design concepts.
- Utilize and encourage best use of design software/technology for presentation and production purposes, including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe, SketchUp, and BSD SpecLink.
- Assist in coordination of building systems with consultants, confirmation of conformance with all applicable codes, and interfacing with municipal building departments and other governing agency officials to provide approvals.
- Accompany and assist others in conducting field observations to monitor the progress of construction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
- 8 or more years of post-graduate architectural design experience.
- Strong knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign.
- Strong rendering skills.
- Experience in producing design deliverables, demonstrated through a strong portfolio of finished work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Architecture.
- Licensed architect with current license.
- NCARB registration and AIA membership.
- CSI-CDT certification.
- LEED APBD+C and WELL AP certification.
- 10 or more years of experience.
- Experience designing automotive dealerships.
- Enscape experience.
