CORPORATE TRAINING ASSISTANT MANAGER
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the training and development initiatives of Prince Resorts Hawaii. Coordinates scheduling of training programs, delivers training sessions, facilitates employee onboarding, and assesses overall training needs within the company. Effectively utilizes various educational methods and technology to administer training programs for various of positions and skill sets, while maintaining a culture of learning, growth, and collaboration.
Essential Duties:
- Delivering training sessions on various topics, utilizing a range of training methods and techniques to engage participants.
- Supporting employee onboarding and orientation programs, ensuring new hires receive comprehensive training to perform their roles efficiently.
- Managing the logistical aspects of training programs, including scheduling training sessions and securing necessary resources.
- Providing learning support throughout the training process by offering guidance, answering queries, clarifying content, and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
- Assisting in developing and implementing training programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborating with Team Leaders to ensure training programs are up-to-date and effective.
- Maintaining training records and ensuring accurate documentation of attendance, course completion, and certifications.
- Assisting in creating and implementing e-learning modules and online training materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and other evaluation methods. Identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to enhance program outcomes.
- Collaborate with HR and the Corporate Training Manager to establish and maintain a performance management system that supports training and development initiatives.
- Create internal marketing materials to be distributed throughout the company to announce training programs and details.
- Staying informed about industry trends and emerging training practices to incorporate into existing programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- This position is based at Mauna Kea Resort on Hawaii Island.
- Normal office setting with exposure to the outdoor working environment when conducting department-specific training.
- Must be able to frequently travel between islands and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate upcoming trips.
Work Hours:
- Must be able to work hours set by the Corporate Training Manager, which may include weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work in excess of 50 hours per week, evenings or weekends as needed.
Mental and Physical Demands:
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk throughout the hotel.
- Must be able to demonstrate a cooperative team spirit, positive attitude, and respect towards diversity.
Communication Demands:
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training presentations in front of small or large groups.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum one year experience facilitating training programs, preferably in a corporate setting.
