Cash Office Supervisor
Summary
The Cash Office Supervisor is responsible to manage all back-office duties accurately and efficiently. This role involves handling daily operations involving cash till issuance, preparation of cash sales deposits, changes cash denominations as needed, daily reports, supporting cashiers and management, collecting cash tills, verify receipts, and keeping logs of inventory.
Job Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to
- Prepares cash sales for transmittal to the bank
- Issues money bags to all sales associates at the beginning of their shift
- Changes cash denominations as needed
- Prepares and sends confirmation report of Vault Change Fund and Petty Cash Fund to Management team
- Reviews Tender and Discount Report and conducts regular sales audit as needed
- Verifies receipts from all terminals, including manned registers and self-checkout registers
- Runs off-line transactions reports to ensure all off-line sales have corresponding refunds
- Monitors and issues supplies for the Point of Sale Systems to Sales Associates
- Prepares and submits monthly report to the issuance of gift certificates and merchandise coupons to Management team
- Replenishes gift certificates redeemed to leased vendors or boutiques
- Collects cash sales exceeding maximum amount allowed from each Point of Sale System
- Ensures managers complete the Currency Transaction Report for sales over $10,000
- Monitors crash bags as needed
- Monitors issuance of electronic Gift Certificates
- Conduct routine Point of Sale registers $200 float to ensure no shortages
- Other duties, as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises cashiers in the Cash Office Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with PPRM’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; providing feedback and input for performance reviews; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; minimum two (2) years in cash handling, accounting, or banking; excellent cash handling skills; or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities thereof.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and effectively respond to the data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees, or others involved or associated in the warehouse section function.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to the role such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. General knowledge of basic accounting a plus.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A valid health certificate and Alcoholic and Beverage Control (ABC) License or ability to obtain a certification/license is required for this position.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Knowledgeable in use of computer software applications customarily used in the job function at an appropriate proficiency level.

Employees are expected to report any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
