Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm

 

The Clinical Supervisor provides training, mentoring and clinical supervision to the HSSP clinicians to ensure the provision of high-quality, integrated clinical services at The People Concern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  
1. Provide individual and group clinical supervision to unlicensed, clinical staff in adherence with BBS and Medi-Cal requirements
2. Provide supervision, training and review of clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and any other clinical documentation as it arises in the client record in adherence with Medi-Cal and DMH requirements
3. Assist supervisees in ensuring productivity goals and outcomes are achieved including a minimum of 65% of staff time being in direct service provision across programs
4. Oversee effective referral and coordination of services with social services providers to ensure clinically-appropriate services are provided to clients whom are working with supervisees
5. Oversee the screening and intake process and maintain appropriate database
6. Help develop, streamline, and update the intake process to provide timely and effective services to members.
7. Monitor program enrollment and ensure delivery of services to all HSSP participants
8. Provide leadership in clinical crises, including but not limited to crisis assessment at Project-Based housing sites.
9. Participate in The People Concern’s clinical quality assurance program and ensure the implementation of quality improvement activities within the program to ensure ongoing quality outcomes
10. Attend meetings and conferences upon request and prepare a verbal and/or written summary to supervisor
11. Assist Program Director in distributing caseloads for appropriate and effective matching between members, clinicians, and advocates
12. Assist Program Director in developing and delivering the day to day and overall training needs of the staff
13. Assist Program Director in completing required reporting to LA County Department of Mental Health as outlined by contract requirements
14. Assist Program Director in ensuring all member paperwork and data collection is complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases
15. Provide input, evaluation, and updates regarding programs as requested

Qualifications:
1. Active, current license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC registered with the CA BBS
2. Minimum two years’ experience working with those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions, and homelessness post-licensure
3. Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and requirements
4. Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills
5. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications
6. Detail oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills
7. Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
8. Able to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification
9. Minimum 35 WPM typing speed preferred
10. Bilingual Spanish preferred

Work Environment 
1. On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
2. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 pounds
3. Field (may need to travel) and indoor office environment
4. Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
5. Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
6. May need to bend, stoop, twist , and sit throughout the day
