About our Medical Assistant position
Under the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager, provides support to patients and co-workers by performing with accuracy and timeliness, a variety of clinical and administrative tasks in different areas of the health center.
What you will be doing!
Providing non-judgmental, client-oriented care, and providing accurate information by answering questions and providing appropriate resources.
Assisting with optimizing patient flow to keep appointments on schedule.
Establishing and preparing documents for patient records and patient services.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting patients by responding to reports and coordinating services from appropriate personnel or departments as needed.
Utilizing comprehensive knowledge or birth control methods and reproductive health services to provide patient education.
Providing Planned Parenthood Patient Education Sheets, (PES) and Informed Consent Forms, (ICF) Client and offers Planned Parenthood services or community resources for identified patients needs.
Optimizing patient satisfaction and efficient use of provider time by providing patient education to each type of visit, ensuing that exam rooms are adequately stocked and prepared prior to visit.
Completing patient intake, preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, assisting the clinician, performing lab test, providing injections, ordering and maintaining supplies, and variety of task which require demonstrating a knowledge of universal precaution, sterile techniques and hazardous waste disposal.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years in a healthcare setting.
National Medical Assistant Certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications. Experience with electronics health records.
Salary Range:
$16.51 to $24.77 hourly

All of our employees must present proof of receiving a current flu shot and two doses of the Covid-19 vaccination prior to their first day of employment.
