Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Manage, train, and schedule housekeeping team members to ensure cleanliness and organization of hotel rooms, public areas, and other facilities.
  • Inspect Cleanliness: Regularly inspect guest rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure housekeeping supplies (e.g., cleaning products, linens, towels) are stocked and well-maintained.
  • Ensure Quality Standards: Implement and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards according to company and industry protocols.
  • Customer Service: Address guest requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure team efficiency and quality performance.
  • Maintain Records: Keep track of room statuses (clean, dirty, occupied, etc.) and ensure proper documentation of completed tasks.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all housekeeping operations adhere to safety standards and regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Computer Savvy
  • Leadership and Management: Ability to manage, train, and schedule a team of housekeeping staff effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff and guests effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to inspect and ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met in all areas.
  • Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal skills to address guest requests and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Skill in managing housekeeping supplies and ensuring proper stock levels are maintained.
  • Training and Development: Ability to train staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues with cleanliness or service and resolve them effectively
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety standards and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Record-Keeping: Strong organizational skills to maintain records of room statuses and task completion
  • Experience in Housekeeping

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods while supervising staff and inspecting rooms.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift cleaning supplies, linens, and other materials up to a certain weight (usually up to 25-50 pounds).
  • Bending and Kneeling: Required to bend or kneel when inspecting rooms, making beds, or handling supplies.
