Position Title: Disclosure Specialist
Location:
Position preferred to be 100% in office in Meridian Idaho, but all qualified candidates will be considered.

Position Overview:
The Disclosure Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the mortgage disclosure process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves the preparation, review, and auditing of disclosure documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards. The Disclosure Specialist will work closely with the compliance, underwriting, and loan processing teams to maintain a streamlined and transparent disclosure process for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disclosure Preparation & Delivery: Generate and deliver accurate and compliant mortgage disclosure documents within required timelines. Monitor and manage disclosure timelines to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Audits: Conduct detailed audits of disclosure documents to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. Stay informed of regulatory changes affecting mortgage disclosures and update practices as needed.
  • Data Verification & Quality Assurance: Review loan data for accuracy and completeness prior to disclosure. Ensure that disclosures reflect correct fees, rates, and loan terms.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the disclosure process, implement best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communication & Support: Act as a resource for team members on disclosure-related questions and issues. Provide clear and prompt communication to address compliance questions from internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in mortgage disclosure management, compliance, or a similar role within the mortgage industry.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state mortgage disclosure regulations, including TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) and RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act).
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when auditing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with loan origination software and disclosure systems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex regulatory information to team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of additional mortgage regulations and auditing standards.
  • Experience with disclosure management software.
  • Certification in Mortgage Compliance or similar credentials (optional).
