YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Supporting the Maintenance Manager by improving and managing the electrical maintenance needs within the mill.
- Drive safe operating standards for the facility and operator areas
- Become a trusted resource for maintenance and engineering questions
- Identify key electrical equipment related issues and develop improvement plans to resolve these issues
- Assist the management and maintenance of the TPM and PM systems
- Provide technical support in the development of capital expenditures and equipment modifications
- Maintain and repair the electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity (AC/DC Drives – PLC Controls and Programming)
- Perform replacement on diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches; and set-up sensing mechanism, utilizing hand tools
- Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
- Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code and Arc Flash requirements
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans (PC- PLC-Ladder logic)
- Develop key knowledge of the plant electrical equipment, including the necessary preventative maintenance requirements including spares inventory
- Develop and implement key action plans to improve the overall electrical performance of the mill.
- Attends all prerequisite training as required by management
- Has the authority to stop process to correct quality, safety or environmental problems, and to promptly notify Supervisory personnel when processes are noncompliant
- Perform other duties and assignments assigned
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Associate or Technical Degree preferred with five years minimum work experience in a manufacturing facility or 10 years progressive electrical maintenance experience. Proficiencies in specific electronics, drives, and PLC controls.
- Project Planning & Management experience
- Experience with PLC’s
- Being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to solve problems rationally and effectively:

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
