Senior Regulatory Coordinator
SENIOR REGULATORY COORDINATOR (LABEL DEVELOPMENT)
We are searching for a passionate and devoted Senior Regulatory Coordinator to join our team! As a Senior Regulatory Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing deadlines, and supporting private label clients through every stage of product development. Your responsibilities include detailed review of product labels, optimization of regulatory processes, and maintaining brand-specific compliance records. Acting as a key liaison between the Regulatory department and internal departments, you will foster cross-departmental collaboration, streamline workflows, and keep teams informed of evolving regulatory changes. Additionally, you will provide mentorship to junior regulatory staff, guiding them on best practices and contributing to the overall success of the regulatory function.
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure Timely Compliance: Strictly adhere to regulatory timelines and manage multiple due dates, ensuring all submissions and approvals are completed on schedule to support product launches and customer requirements.
- Oversee Regulatory Compliance in Customer Bids: Manage the regulatory component of the customer bid process, ensuring all product information, claims, and compliance requirements are accurately presented to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
- Review and Revise Product Label Information: Review and revise product manuscripts by verifying all required label elements, including directions, warnings, Supplement Facts panel information, ingredient lists, allergen information, and marketing call-outs to ensure full regulatory compliance and label accuracy.
- Optimize Regulatory Processes: Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory function, streamlining workflows and ensuring timely compliance across all operations.
- Act as Primary Liaison for Cross-Departmental Customer Communication: Serve as the key point of contact for internal departments, ensuring clear and efficient communication regarding the needs and requirements of external customers
- Maintain Brand-Specific Compliance: Develop expertise in each brand’s unique label requirements, maintaining comprehensive and organized records to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards across all private label accounts.
- Foster Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Cultivate a deep understanding of internal systems and workflows, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between departments to support regulatory compliance and product development.
- Label Review & Compliance: Conduct detailed reviews of product labels to ensure compliance with FDA and FTC regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with graphic design, marketing, R&D, and quality assurance teams to align regulatory requirements with product development and launch timelines.
- Customer [Private Label] Account Support: Serve as the primary regulatory point of contact for private label clients, ensuring timely and accurate regulatory compliance information is provided.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of necessary label updates, approvals, and correspondence with customers, ensuring easy access to regulatory data and documentation.
- Monitor Regulatory Changes: Stay up to date on evolving dietary supplement regulations and proactively communicate changes and their impact on product formulations, labeling, and claims to internal teams.
- Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor Regulatory Coordinators, providing guidance on regulatory best practices and helping them
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Science, Biology, or related field preferred
- Experience within a regulatory environment with focus on dietary supplements, foods, beverages or other Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-regulated industry is a plus
- Knowledge of Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) and other regulatory guidelines is a plus
- Ability to multitask with precise detail and follow-up reporting
- Highly independent and self-motivated with the ability to perform well in a team setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient data management and mathematical skills
- Solution oriented and resolution focused
- Must be able to be detailed-oriented while meeting project deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
