Vitamin Specialist
Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):
The Vitamin Specialist has an advanced understanding of all store products and can share their knowledge with customers and associates. The Vitamin Specialist shares selling techniques and models positive behaviors with all associates. They are highly informed on all products carried in the store and possess expert customer service skills. Additionally, the Vitamin Specialist should ensure clean, stocked, and well-organized departments within the store and that items within the department are properly priced and correctly merchandised. At the core, the Vitamin Specialist should ensure the assistance of all customers in making appropriate product selections and suggest complimentary products.

Customer Service
• Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer.
• Prioritizes the assistance of all customers with product selections.
• Actively suggests new or related products for the customers overall needs or goals.
• Promotes, suggests, and speaks highly of all company-owned brands (Lindberg, Fitness Labs, Piping Rock, etc.)
• Assists in communicating all special customer requests to the store management.
• Refers escalated customer complaints to store management.
• Helps customers with their purchases to vehicles as needed.
Loss Prevention
• Follows and enforces company policy on shoplifting policy and guidelines for Loss Prevention.
Education and training
• In partnership with Lead Vitamin Specialist, accepts new product into store inventory and performs research to fully understand the product and share with others.
Merchandising display, store appearance and maintenance
• Stocks and faces all product locations.
• Maintains the departments appearances according to guidelines.
• Reviews signs and shelf tags for correct and accurate information and reports discrepancies to store management.
• Highlights merchandising displays and product offerings such end caps & floor displays.
• Maintains store appearances according to guidelines.

• Maintains well-organized and well-merchandised departments.
Policy, Procedures and Reporting
• Reports any issues that may be questionable and/or reoccurring problems especially in the area of stocking and receiving of inventory.
• Makes recommendations to management for overall department and personnel improvement.
Safety and Security
• Enforces company policy, rules and regulations.
• Uses correct procedures for lifting and cutting boxes.
• Reports all injuries and unsafe conditions.
General
• Stocking; stock and face shelves, retrieve back/top stock as necessary to fill all locations. All pricing, shelf tags and dates will be verified, and any discrepancies should be corrected immediately.
• Familiar with all products, their general use and location in the store.
• Performs light store maintenance as assigned.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Role’s Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment
• The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
