Fulfillment Supervisor- 1st Shift
This is a hands-on supervisory position suitable for an individual that works hand-in-hand with the associates in the department to meet the high standards of Safety, Productivity, accuracy, and maintaining a positive work environment. Under the direction of the Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for all operations of Piping Rock’s Ronkonkoma E-Commerce Order Fulfillment Center.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Fulfillment associates including but not limited to work schedule, hiring, disciplinary actions, training, training records such that the department works as a harmonized and productive fulfilment center
- Strategically assign associates work roles to optimize efficiency in production, work hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage restocking process.
- Receive purchase orders.
- Maintain inventory accuracy of all materials and products within the department. This includes working closely with Inventory control to assure cycle program is being followed.
- Review and approve timesheets, track attendance records and productivity for the department.
- Assure all standard operating procedures (SOP’s), Safety Protocols, and company policies are followed.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for training and development of associates.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist associates in solving problems.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free from safety hazards.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to increase safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned to this position at the manager’s discretion.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. A college degree is preferred.
- Three to five years of previous supervisory experience in a production and/or warehouse environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing in English. Must be fluent in Spanish.
- Flexible and willing to alter work schedule as requested to meet department demands to include overtime, weekend or daily adjustments to schedule. The department works on certain holidays to meet customer satisfaction.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and Outlook is required.
Physical Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
- Must be able to work in a physical challenging environment.
