Your Impact: 

The Aquatic Supervisor is expected to supervise the assigned pool and ensure a safe, clean and enjoyable aquatic environment for YMCA members and participants. You will hire, train, schedule and supervise lifeguard staff.  Ensure that the aquatic environment is safe and healthy, and that maintenance (filters, water quality) is maintained

What Qualifications You’ll Need: 

  • High School degree or equivalent. 
  • 2 plus years supervisory experience in a related field.  
  • Current ARC Lifeguard/Water Park, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Administering Emergency Oxygen certifications.   

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Monitor all programs and staff in the pool assigned.  Ensure program quality and monitor staff performance and member service.
  • Supervise staff and ensure appropriate staffing of pool. Coordinate breaks and  rotate staff. 
  • Ensure safety and prevent injuries by supervising the pool area. Ensure no distraction or interference with the ability to hear or see signs of distress. 
  • Ensure that pool staffing is within YMCA standards before leaving the area or performing maintenanceEnsure security upon arrival and departure. 
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. 
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness in the pool area.
