Medical Assistant Instructor
Position Summary:
Penn Foster Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team! In this role, you will provide instructional support to help students achieve their learning objectives while contributing to the growth and development of our courses to meet industry standards.
As part of a collaborative team of Medical Assistant and Healthcare Program instructors, you will engage with students through phone, live chat, email, and scheduled appointments. Since our course is fully online, you will play a vital role in guiding learners by reviewing video submissions of their clinical skills and facilitating live demonstrations to ensure mastery as they progress through their training.
In addition to supporting the Medical Assistant course, your healthcare expertise will be invaluable across Penn Foster Group’s diverse healthcare programs, helping to shape future professionals in various disciplines.

Essential Job Functions:
- Work a structured schedule to ensure availability for students and team collaboration.
- Provide academic support to students through phone, live chat, emails, and scheduled appointments.
- Objectively and accurately evaluate subjective exams in alignment with established grading keys and assignment instructions.
- Deliver clear, constructive, and effective feedback to students.
- Facilitate live clinical demonstrations with learners to ensure accurate completion of clinical skills.
- Actively participate in social media platforms to support and engage with learners.
- Assist in other courses within the Healthcare portfolio based on the applicant’s experience.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including updating shared spreadsheets and team documents.
- Collaborate professionally with colleagues within the Healthcare Programs education team and other departments to support learner and programmatic success.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Career diploma or a minimum of five years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant through NHA, AMT, or AAMA.
- Prior online teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience and certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Lab Assistant, or other healthcare professions is a plus.
