Position Summary:

You will play a critical role in this highly visible and strategic team which is revolutionizing Penn foster’s data capabilities. The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help the organization make informed business decisions. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, generate datasets, and analytics that provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as create interactive dashboards. This individual will work closely with the Data Engineering team to provide critical analytical support, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and usability of data pipelines and infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights

• Collect, clean, and interpret datasets to support business objectives

• Analyze datasets to ensure data integrity and identify potential improvements in data models

• Assist in troubleshooting data issues and implementing quality assurance processes

• Accurately estimate level of effort for assigned tasks and adhering to schedules

• Be a complete team player

• Comfortable working in a fluid constantly changing environment

• Strong sense of ownership for all work

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• 7+ years of data analytics experience

• 7+ years of SQL

• 3+ years of data visualization experience (Tableau)

• Ability to learn and absorb existing and new data structures quickly

• Databricks exposure is a plus

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to work independently and in a group

• Self-starter attitude with initiative

• Creativity

• Ability to solve complex problems
