Director of High School Academic Partnerships
Position Summary:
Lead the strategic growth and day-to-day management of Penn Foster's $15 million K-12 business segment (known as High School Academic Partners, or HSAP), focusing on alternative high school, diploma, dropout prevention, and credit recovery solutions. You'll drive a 20-25% CAGR over 5 years by spearheading robust sales and business development activities, driving strong day-to-day commercial operations, championing the evolution of the product and marketing, and ultimately guiding the strategic evolution of Penn Foster Group’s offerings to the district/ high school customer segment. This role requires a data-driven leader with K-12 experience who can lead (directly and indirectly), align cross-functional teams, implement strategic initiatives, and establish the HSAP segment as a distinct, high-performing business unit within Penn Foster Group.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve 20-25% CAGR for the HSAP business segment over 5 years
- Own and direct the optimization of the HSAP segment on a day-to-day basis, driving revenue growth and ensuring operational effectiveness and efficiency
- Lead a team of account/territory managers and influence cross-functional stakeholders to align efforts towards common goals
- Leverage CRM and database management tools to maximize sales and marketing efforts as well as ongoing account relationship management processes
- Implement data-driven strategies to improve key metrics such as new school relationships acquired, average number of student referrals per school relationship, local market penetration in a state/ school district, etc.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the K-12 education sector, and represent Penn Foster at relevant conferences, stakeholder forums, and/or other business development opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging and outreach strategies for the HSAP market
- Work with product teams and service teams to champion HSAP customer needs and drive product/ service improvements
- Establish the HSAP segment as a distinct business within PFG, aligning various departments towards common objectives
- Report on segment performance and strategic initiatives to executive leadership
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- 7+ years of experience in K-12 education, with some mix of sales, business development, account management, and/or client success operations
- Proven track record of scaling outreach operations and driving significant revenue growth
- Strong project management skills with a process-oriented and data-driven approach
- Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Proficiency with CRM systems and database management tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across departments, including areas without formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights, including the ability to lead project and change management efforts to see those insights reflected in business operations
- Strong understanding of K-12 education landscape, including perspectives of school staff and district administration dynamics and decision-making processes
