Position Summary:

Are you passionate about learning and want to make an impact on people’s lives? Penn Foster is looking for a talented individual to join our Group Content Strategy & Quality team. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how we deliver learning experiences. By blending pedagogical expertise with technical innovation, you will create scalable, effective learning solutions that drive measurable improvements in student outcomes. Using our Skills-based Education framework, you will develop cutting-edge learning solutions that focus on enhancing student experiences and improving learning quality. Your work will help bridge real-world skills with job placement and performance, ensuring learner success is our key metric. You will partner with cross-functional teams to iterate and scale learning models aligned with organizational goals.

Essential Job Functions:

· Lead the design and delivery of high-quality learning experiences based on principles of Skills-based Education (e.g., learner-centered design, active learning, and skills development).

· Develop and execute comprehensive Learning Design Plans in collaboration with Product teams, aligning with business strategies and learner objectives.

· Assess and enhance course content for pedagogical soundness, accessibility, and universal design principles.

· Use data analytics, learner feedback, and research in learning science to continuously iterate and improve content.

· Act as a thought leader and advocate for innovation, incorporating emerging technologies like AI-driven platforms, adaptive learning, and VR/AR.

· Mentor and provide guidance to junior learning designers, fostering best practices in learning design.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leadership, subject matter experts, and instructional designers, to integrate learning science principles into organizational strategies.

· Stay informed on advancements in educational technology and learning science, ensuring solutions remain innovative and evidence-based.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Experience: Minimum of 7 years in learning design, instructional design, or educational technology roles, with demonstrated success in leading complex projects.

· Educational Background: Advanced degree in Learning Design, Instructional Technology, Cognitive Science, or related field.

· Skills and Expertise:

o Deep understanding of learning science, including cognitive and educational psychology.

o Proven ability to design scalable, innovative learning experiences using data-driven methodologies.

o Proficiency with advanced tools like adaptive learning systems, AI-driven platforms, and immersive technologies (e.g., VR/AR).

o Strong strategic planning and leadership skills.

o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional teamwork.

· Tools and Systems Knowledge:

o Expertise in learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), and adaptive learning platforms.

o Advanced analytics tools for measuring and optimizing learning outcomes (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Google Analytics).

o Familiarity with accessibility and universal design standards, such as WCAG compliance.
