The Sr. Specialist – Instrumentation will maintain mill control loops, distributed control systems, lab test equipment, atmospheric analyzers, UPS systems.  Perform timely maintenance, accurate calibration & proper documentation of safety & lab test equipment.  Preventative maintenance, installation & set up of all pneumatic & electronic instruments within the mill.  Order all spare & repair parts necessary.

Principle Accountabilities:

Installation, calibration & maintenance of all mill instrumentation, along with programming maintenance & training on mill distributed control systems & accurate calibration & documentation of all lab test equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

A.S. Degree or Four (4) years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years of prior instrumentation experience

The successful candidate must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Familiar with integrated circuitry

Knowledge of pneumatic instrumentation

Knowledge of Digital and Analog controls

Know and understand concepts of distributed control

Know how to engineer & re-size valves & other pieces of equipment

Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.

Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.

Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem solving.

Must be capable of working with ambiguity and change.
