“PBS is the fastest growing “All Inclusive Business Platform” vendor in North America and we’ve only just begun!”

The Opportunity:

We are changing the way people buy and service cars one dealership at a time. In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. Each month we welcome hundreds of new users to our software platform, and we need your help.

We are unique in the industry because we view our customers as business partners, technology innovators, and friends. Our software can run all aspects of an automotive dealership with sales, service, inventory management, and accounting modules.

And that's where you come into the picture. While specific roles are posted, PBS is always open to pivoting with quality people and adding to the team based on your skills and the needs of our customers. After you join the team, we will continue the process of moving you into new roles based on your talents, growth, and interests.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Governance Specialist to join our team. The Data Governance Specialist will play a key role in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of our organization's data assets. • Design and implement data quality assessment frameworks and metrics to measure and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Partner with data stewards and data owners to identify and resolve data quality issues, data anomalies, and data inconsistencies.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data governance processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units in the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to raise awareness and promote understanding of data governance principles and practices across the organization.
  • Develop an inventory of the data within the organization and devise a reduction strategy.
  • Manage and enforce retention policies.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in data governance and data management disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and tools
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and SOX.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, CIMP) are an asset.

What we offer:
