Responsible for providing daily clinical support to the providers and related services of our patients, performing daily functions to greet and room patients by providing clinical information and support to all new and existing patients.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Upholds, teaches and enforces FKP Core Values.
- Utilizes AIDET/customer service standards and demonstrates FKP Core Values and Standards of Behaviors.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette that is accordance with FKP Standards of Behaviors
- Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit, ensure all labs, diagnostics, tests and notes are completed and resulted in the chart- reschedule patients as appropriate
- Review and complete Inbox tasks weekly
- Answer and handle phone calls swiftly, answer voice mail daily
- Respond to patient concerns in accordance with established policies and standards
- Maintains cleanliness and supply inventory in exam rooms and lab area.
- Scans medical records and patient documents
- Manual data entry
- Managing electronic medical records
- Facilitating correspondence between healthcare organizations
- Assisting medical assistants with collection of health histories
- Managing phone calls and medical charts in a high-volume physician's office
- Scheduling patient appointments in person and over the phone
- Checking patients in and out
- Collecting and verifying patient insurance information
- Collecting patient demographic information
- Collecting payments
- Responsible for assisting patients with medication assistance forms
- Complete and submit medication prior authorizations
- Complies with all OSHA and HIPPA policies along with all policies and procedures established by FKP
- Demonstrates behavior that is professional and commensurate with the position and is in accordance with FKP Core Values and Standards of Behaviors.
- Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality.
- Attends all mandatory staff meetings
- Other routine duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or GED, one year clinical experience preferred. Has a broad understanding of clinical operations and physician office practice. Computer skills in various applications such as MS Office Suite, PMD soft, Athenahealth and other applications/systems preferred.
Competency Requirements:
Must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to perform this job successfully:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft word and Outlook
- Previous EMR use preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with all internal and external customers
- Good business office organizational skills, detail-oriented with excellent follow-up.
- Solutions-minded, compliance-minded and results-oriented.
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to define, analyze and resolve issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities successfully.

- Knowledge of HIPPA regulations and dedicated to adhering to all aspects
- Current understanding of basic computer skills and data entry
