Clinic Manager - Northeast/Live Oak

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more outpatient Clinics. Provides administrative support and oversees the hiring and training of all staff members. Coordinates with healthcare professional’s patient care plans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit, hire and coordinate the training of new staff members.
• Design and implement business strategies to help the clinic meet organizational goals.
• Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks as needed.
• Oversees funds collected on Funds Tracking Log, Charge Passing and balances daily.
• Assist in the collection of data and generates multiple reports.
• Develop protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity.
• Act as a liaison between patients, their families and additional care staff.
• Plan and manage the clinic's budget and approve payroll.
• Perform annual employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help them meet professional goals.
• Ensures messages, orders and referrals are addressed in a timely manner.
• Ensure charts are prepped 5 days in advance and Recall process is being followed. 
• Effectively communicates verbally with physician, patients, and internal customers.
• Participates in all required meetings.
• Reviews competency checks with staff prior to coming off probation
• Performs general office duties not limited to phones, scanning and queuing of documents.
• Verifies OSHA logs are maintained and up to date.
• Ensures staff licensure and certifications are active and maintained.
• Ensures all staff have completed required training and enrollments in a timely manner.
• Ensures proper opening and closing of the office(s).
• Ordering and maintain PAR levels for office and medical supplies.
• Ensures all staff act in compliance with all SA Kidney policies and procedures in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
• EMR/PM proficient with the ability to train staff.
• All other duties as assigned by the SA Kidney Clinic Operations Manger. 
• Training and cross training with coworkers is a daily expectation of your work.
• Capable of performing all duties listed on direct reports job description within licensed requirements.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Complies with all policies and procedures of the San Antonio Kidney Employee Handbook, Policy and Procedure Manual and Billing Compliance Program, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
• Travel Required: Must provide proof and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to operate general office equipment (computer, scanner, copier, fax)
• Interacts positively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, other staff members and the general public.

SPECIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education/training:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• LVN License preferred
• 5+ year’s prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• CPR preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Physical requirements:

• Able to stand on a step stool to retrieve and replace supplies and items kept on higher shelves.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Able to stoop and bend to help assist patients. 
• Able to lift up to 50lb.
