The Learning and Development Specialist is an integral member of the team, responsible for administering the corporate Learning Management System (LMS), supporting the creation, delivery, and facilitation of training and development programs. You will ensure our learning platforms and initiatives align with organizational goals, enabling employees to enhance their skills and grow professionally. You will collaborate across departments, own all aspects of the LMS, and play a vital role in driving a culture of continuous learning. You'll also work closely with Compliance and managers in the development and rollout of new hire training and annual compliance training. 

The Successful Individual in this role will possess these core competencies: 

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in LMS administration, including configuration, content management, and reporting. 

  • Adult Learning Experience: Strong ability to design, deliver, and evaluate engaging tools and training programs as well as experience advising departmental trainers on best practices

  • Analytical Thinking: Uses data to assess learning outcomes and make informed recommendations for improvement. 

  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrates resourcefulness in troubleshooting technical,  operational challenges, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible outcomes. 

  • Project Management: Effectively manages multiple learning initiatives, maintaining timelines and budgets. 

  • Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment and adjusts to evolving organizational needs. 

  • Curiosity: Explores new ideas, ask questions, and actively looks for opportunities to learn.   

Responsibilities

Learning Management System Administration: 

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the LMS at the enterprise level, including user support, system updates, and vendor communications.
  • Uploading, configuring, and maintaining learning content while ensuring optimal system functionality.
  • Creating and maintaining user guides and instructional materials for system users.
  • Generating and analyzing reports to track participation, compliance, and training effectiveness.

Training Development and Delivery: 

  • Partnering with internal teams to identify learning needs and create targeted training programs.
  • Developing standards for engaging instructional content, leveraging multimedia tools and resources.
  • Facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring a seamless learning experience for participants.
  • SME supporting trainers and content creators across multiple departments. 

Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: 

  • Assessing training programs’ effectiveness through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to training content and delivery methods.
  • Staying informed about best practices and trends in learning technologies and instructional design.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Work closely with People Team, IT, Compliance and department leaders to align learning initiatives with business objectives.
  • Providing guidance to managers and employees on learning resources and development opportunities, including developing standard tools and learning paths for managers to utilize.
  • Contributing to organizational projects that enhance employee development and organizational culture 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degreepreferably in Adult Education, Human Resources, Business or a related field or related years of experience 
  • 2+ years of experience in managing LMS administrationtraining program facilitation, and/or talent development
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and content creation tools (LITMOS a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including strong active listener with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in training lifecycle, including creating minimal viable products (MVP) and pilots to quickly meet business needs. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting to assess training effectiveness.

For Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC-based employment: In accordance with the Pay Transparency laws the pay range for this position is $70,000 to $84,000. The compensation package may include stock options, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial, generous PTO, stipends for professional development, and wellness benefits.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. The range listed only applies to Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Washington DC.
