Camp Oak - Counselor
The Camp Oak Attendant will be responsible for daily activities with children; as well as all other duties assigned by management. This person must have good communication skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ensure all parents fill out the registration form for their children correctly, containing the history of the child.

Create an inventory for all toys / equipment at the club.

Ensure all equipment is clean and properly maintained.

Inform Assistant Activities / Camp Oak Supervisor for any need of additional toys or replacement of toys.

Ensure to follow daily, weekly and monthly activity schedules as instructed by the Camp Oak Supervisor.

Ensure all clubs’ rules and regulations are enforced at all times.

Maintain club/display clean and tidy club/display at all times. Be fully aware of the club's facilities, timings, promotions and prices.

Help with daily operations of Kid’s Programs, including but not limited to registration and lunch.

Must create daily children’s activities prepping and assuring that crafts are ready for each day.

Assist with special Holiday activities and other resort family or group activities.

Qualifications:

Must enjoy working with children.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Must be able to stay outdoors in heat/cold for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Possess a positive, outgoing and friendly Personality.

Ability to follow the OVI standards of Presentation.

Ability to follow the OVI standards of Body Language.

Ability to follow the OVI standards of Verbiage.

Ability to work cohesively with other employees as part of a team.

Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with parents and children, management and co-workers to their understanding.

Legal ability to work in the US

High school graduate.

Ability to do basic arithmetic.

Ability to provide legible written communication.

Ability to work a flexible workweek including weekends and holidays.
DESIRABLE:
-
At least one year experience working with children.
-
CPR/First Aid certification.
DESIRABLE:
Previous guest relations training.
The pay for this position is $19/hour plus gratuities.
