Location: 1260 London Groveport Rd. Lockbourne, OH 43137

Pay:  $70 - 90K per year

Shift: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Employment Logistics:  

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Field Safety Manager who manages facility safety audits, safety program evaluations, Safety Training, and audits for TSA IACSSP compliance and promotes a positive safety culture and procedures.

The Must-Haves:  

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR
  • Five years related experience and/or training in related industry or management; or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.

AND

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • It is the responsibility of every position to understand and adhere to the security guidelines outlined in OnTrac’s Acceptable Use Policy and to conduct their activities accordingly.

 

Your Mission in Motion:  

  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
  • Provide leadership and direction to building leadership and safety team in the implementation of safety organizational practices to drive a culture and mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Manages facility safety audits, provides compliance guidance
  • Communication of safety concerns or compliance issues with local management.
  • When immediate safety hazards are identified. Safety Manager will use the safety hazard as a Teachable Moment with all affected employee
  • Perform scheduled facility visits to audit company policies and programs to include: safety compliance, training, orientation, forklift and electric pallet jack operation / license verification, hazmat, safety committee and procedural compliance.
  • Provide content and expertise for training, development of awareness program materials, safety huddle topics and monthly safety teachable moments.
  • Review completed facility investigate reports for all employee work injuries, incidents and general liability cases to determine root cause and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Participate in the Monthly Motor Vehicle Accident Review Committee when available.
  • Lead Monthly Workers Compensation/Employee Accident Review Committee.
  • Manage the activities of the Field Safety Specialist on a daily basis
  • Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

  • A broad knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines relating to safety.
  • The ability to create and implement programs and processes that improve the safety of all employees.

Organizational Relationship:

  • Provides advisement to facilities regarding workplace safety and procedures.
  • Consults and coordinates with Employees, Facility Managers, Regional Managers and Directors in the field.

Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in office, warehouse and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate and the employee may have occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and periodic heat and cold.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; lift up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
