Report to: Recruiting Supervisor

Location: Diamond Bar, CA (Onsite)

Business Hours: Mon- Fri, 9 am – 6 pm

Job Overview: Ono Hawaiian BBQ is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Recruiter to join our team, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting both Corporate and Field Operations. As part of our fast-paced recruiting team, you will assist our District and General Managers in recruiting new and existing locations across our network of Ono Hawaiian BBQ restaurants.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass cultivating a robust and diverse talent pool to meet the needs of our corporate leadership. Additionally, you will be pivotal in facilitating our field operations team's recruitment and training process across various regions. Your efforts will contribute to the realization of a workforce that aligns with our company's vision and values. Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end recruiting activities.
  • Work closely with department managers to craft detailed job descriptions and comprehensive hiring criteria
  • Formulate and execute highly effective recruitment strategies tailored to the specific role, industry benchmarks, and organizational demands.
  • Drive the job posting and advertising initiatives.
  • Evaluate applications and identify top-tier candidates for further consideration.
  • Orchestrate interview logistics and create interview materials.
  • Actively engage in interviews with corporate managers, directors, and field district and general managers.
  • Play a pivotal role in offer negotiations, encompassing salary ranges, incentives, and commencement dates.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills /Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, Preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of Corporate Recruitment experience.
  • At least 1 year of Field Recruitment experience.
  • Overall, 3-5 years of whole cycle recruitment experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
