POSITION PURPOSE
The Executive Director, Business Development will play a crucial role in driving the growth and sustainability of our organization. This new position will be responsible for building strategic partnerships that expand membership or capacity to scale our strategy; conducting a comprehensive product and service pricing inventory and developing effective pricing strategies; identifying prospects for mergers and acquisitions and working with the CFO and COO to develop an investment fund for promising prospects; collaborating with the Sales Director to grow sales of consulting services; and working with the Human Resources team to develop training and business acumen for managers with revenue accountabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, excellent communication skills, a mindset for global curiosity, and a passion for our mission.
Compensation: $115,000-$125,000 base salary with a competitive incentive package to be negotiated as part of the total compensation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with prospects and partners that would accelerate membership growth or capacity aligned with our strategic plan.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Pricing Inventory: Conduct a comprehensive inventory of current pricing structures for services, programs, and products offered by the organization.
- Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement a pricing strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals, ensuring competitiveness and sustainability.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Identify and evaluate potential prospects for mergers and acquisitions to enhance the organization’s growth and impact.
- Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Director to develop and implement strategies to grow sales of consulting services.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on the progress of business development activities, including financial performance and impact metrics.
- Training and Development: Collaborate with the Human Resources team to develop and implement training programs that enhance business acumen and revenue accountability for managers.
- Outreach and Networking: Represent the organization at selected events, conferences, and meetings to promote our mission and expand our network.
Fiscal Management/Budget Responsibilities/Judicious Use of Resources
- Exercises fiscal responsibility in the utilization of all CASE resources.
Liaison Responsibilities
- Works cooperatively and diplomatically with all divisions and regions.
- Liaises with CASE colleagues in other parts of the world to ensure the best sharing of ideas, expertise and knowledge.
- Incorporates tasks and/or projects related to objectives as directed by the CASE Strategic Plan.
Image Responsibilities
- In keeping with the CASE Values Statement, ensures that CASE is well represented by exercising a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and ethics, in all activities, services, and products.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

High level judgement and problem-solving skills are required, as the incumbent is frequently faced with situations which require immediate action in response to issues and requests. The breadth and depth of understanding of an issue and the key internal/external persons handling the issue, and the way in which the issue is handled, all affect the outcome of the situation.

- The position requires that the incumbent quickly develop a deep understanding of CASE, its policies and procedures and an understanding of the culture and regional and divisional interdependencies.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related role, preferably in the non-profit sector.

Alternative Work Arrangement: After 4 weeks of employment, eligible staff are given the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days per week and in-office 3 days per week.
