Senior HRIS Analyst

Job Summary
The Sr. HRIS Analyst is responsible for the configuration, implementation and upkeep of the HR Information System (HRIS), compliance reporting and HR strategies, to align with the organization’s goals. This role focuses on analyzing and improving HR processes and system functionalities, such as data management, system enhancements, compliance and reporting, and issue resolution. The Sr HRIS Analyst will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure accurate data reporting and provide training and user support for the system. Additionally, the role ensures compliance with data privacy and security regulations and generates reports and insights to guide HR strategies and decisions.
Essential Functions
- Manage and maintain the Dayforce HRIS system, including system configuration, data integrity, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to assess and analyze current HRIS processes and systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support and training to HR staff and end-users on HRIS functionality, ensuring proper utilization of the system's capabilities.
- Advanced Reporting: create and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide accurate and timely HR data for management decision-making.
- Collaborate with the IT department and vendors to ensure seamless integration of HRIS with other systems and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Lead or contribute to system upgrades or implementations, including testing, documentation, and training. Partner with functional HR, Payroll, IT, and Plant facilities to coordinate application of upgrades and changes.
- Ensure data privacy and security by implementing and maintaining appropriate controls and protocols.
- Vendor management: Has a strong working relationship with all HRMS vendors. Directly partners with them to problem solve any system issues, recommended solutions, and testing. Manages ticket que and customer expectations.
- Auditing: Recommends and creates data auditing reports and procedures to ensure the accuracy of all HR data
- Compliance: Leads and coordinates annual data compliance processes including: PPACA, AAP, EEO-1, VETS, 1095-C
- Represents and leads HRIS activities and resources on cross-functional project teams in the areas of benefits, compensation, compliance and training.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, IT or a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Dayforce, including 3+ years configuring Dayforce (i.e., workflows, integrations, security, reporting, org structure)
- High level of expertise in the Dayforce environment. Must be able to hit the ground running on day 1 to support the team with complex Dayforce changes
- Comprehensive understanding of Core HCM modules including Recruiting, WFM, Payroll, Compensation, Performance and Benefits Administration
- Advanced Report Building experience
- Advanced Integrations experience, including APIs
- Proven project management or project leading experience on HR Systems implementations, improvements and ongoing support
- Experience working in ticket/case management systems (e.g., SDP)
- Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence
- Comfortable operating in fast-changing environments and creating clarity out of ambiguity
- Strong collaborator; can engage with partners and stakeholders at all levels
- Strong customer happiness orientation
Hybrid role based out of the Chicago office. Monday - Wednesday onsite required.
