Position Summary
The Coordinator of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations will work under the Director of Institutional Advancement, responsible for Archbishop Ryan’s annual giving fundraising program and the coordination of alumni reunion events. In addition, maintain strong relationship with all alumni, and alumni associations related to Archbishop Ryan High School.   
 
This position requires a candidate who will be positive and upbeat. They will be hardworking, creative, and dedicated to investing time and energy into growing with an organization that deeply cares about providing spiritual, social, and service opportunities for the growth of our students.  They must be an excellent strategic thinker, communicator, and team player, able to work smoothly and efficiently with our administrators, faculty, alumni and the local community. The candidate must have a desire to work in a deadline-driven, proactive, and collaborative manner. Candidate must be highly organized and a team player who wants to enjoy work and colleagues, and they must understand and respect the variety of influences on philanthropic decision-making.  

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
Along with the Director of Institutional Advancement builds and maintains meaningful relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations. Plans, coordinates, analyzes, and reports on a calendar of activities, appeals, and events to achieve strategic and revenue-generating goals.
Oversees Archbishop Ryan’s Annual Fund including solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship. Builds meaningful relationships with Annual Fund donors, with the intent to increase giving and foster greater interaction.
Drafts and coordinates annual appeals and campaigns, in conjunction with Director of Institutional Advancement and Director of Marketing.
Plans and facilitates donor-related events.
Oversees management of the donor database, including policies and procedures for research, data retention, reporting and obtaining updates.  Updates to include contact, personal, donor and engagement information along with industry-based bumps to check for address accuracy, decedent records, etc.
Manages the Archbishop Ryan Grants calendar and coordinates the design, drafting, and submission of foundation and government proposals with department staff.    
Along with the Director of Institutional Advancement provides support to the Development Committee of the Board. 
Promotes and fosters effective alumni relations through written communication and personal contact with constituent groups.
Provides staff assistance to Alumni Association committees and alumni groups.
Serves as a resource to alumni and others regarding alumni programs and activities including reunions.
Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position will possess a majority of the following qualifications:
Manifest the traditional Catholic/Christian values and mission of Archbishop Ryan High School
Demonstrates the ability to develop, direct and coordinate multiple programs and activities simultaneously.
Strong desire and natural ability to deal with people and conflict resolution.
Strong communication skills that will effectively support the identification and solicitation of all prospects and support the volunteers of Archbishop Ryan High School.  
Capable communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
High-energy individual who is self-motivated, and a confident, capable presenter, both verbal and written.
Archbishop Ryan High School Alumni preferred.
Software familiarity: 
o Must be well-versed with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
o Must demonstrate a working familiarity with database tools (eg: Access, Oracle, Sequel, etc).  
o A working knowledge of BlackBaud/Raisers’ Edge is a strong plus.

Salary and Benefits:
Salary competitive and commensurate with experience and full benefits.

This is a 12-month position.
