 Position Overview

Conwell-Egan High School seeks a highly organized, dynamic, and creative leader with the ability to work independently to be the Director of the school’s Center for Student Leadership. The Director will report to the Principal of the school and work closely with the school President, administrative team, and faculty.

 

The CSL was established in 2018 for the primary purpose of connecting students with careers and assisting them in planning and preparing for their post-secondary journey. The motto of the CSL is “every day is career day at CEC.”

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Instruct section(s) of a College and Career Exploration Sophomore Seminar Course; helping students discover or develop their aptitudes & abilities.
  • Co-instruct the Senior Capstone course with the counselors to provide intensive support in the following areas: college application process, financial aid process, personal finance, professional development (resume writing, interviewing, etc.)
  • Organize the speaker schedule to invite professionals across a multitude of industries to provide firsthand knowledge and experience to students considering any given field of study.
  • Work closely with the Counseling Center to provide college planning and career path development.
  • Act as the liaison between CEC and external organizations (i.e., Best Buddies/Woods Services, Travis Manion Foundation, YMCA of Fairless Hills, and Bucks County Community College).
  • Assist students in facilitating employment and internship opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree-required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Available to work occasional nights/weekends

PA required clearances and Safe Environment Certification and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin.
