    The Role: Residential Program Worker (Direct Support Professional)

    Oak Hill is seeking passionate and dedicated Residential Program Workers (RPWs) to join our team. As an RPW, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in our group homes located in the greater Bridgeport area.

    Schedule:

    • Part-time or Full-time
    • 8-hour shifts
      • Day shift (7 AM - 3 PM)
      • Evening shift (3 PM - 11 PM)
      • Overnight shift (11 PM - 7 AM)
    • Weekend availability required (weekly schedules include either Saturday and/or Sunday)

    Work Location:

    In-person at group homes located in Shelton, Monroe, Orange, Oxford, Middlebury, Ansonia


    Education:

    High school or equivalent (Required)


    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver personalized care based on individual needs, including personal hygiene, household tasks, appointment transportation, vocational services, community activities, and supervision.
    • Accurately collect, record, and chart data in compliance with Oak Hill’s policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
    • Assist with personal hygiene tasks to ensure participants' cleanliness, comfort, and well-being.
    • Encourage and support self-administration of medications, administer medications, and document any errors.
    • Apply emergency first aid and CPR procedures as needed.
    • Prepare materials for participant-related activities or projects.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • At least 18 years old
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to attend a 5-day orientation in Hartford, CT
