Mental Health Resource Director
Established in 1968, Gilead has over 50 years of experience providing the highest quality services that support each person’s recovery from mental health or substance use challenges in their lives. Gilead empowers personal growth, independence and recovery through improved mental health, physical well-being, and community integration. Gilead’s supportive and collaborative services are marked by excellence, compassion, innovation, and integrity.
Gilead’s Mental Health Resource Center (MHRC) seeks an entrepreneurial Business Director to lead and expand services that make mental health resources accessible to everyone – from under-resourced individuals to those with the means but limited knowledge of how to navigate behavioral health support.
Why This Role Matters
As Business Director, you’ll shape a growing community resource, addressing critical mental health needs that stigma and a labyrinthine support system have left underserved.
Your leadership will help guide our transition to a self-sustaining model by analyzing market needs and opportunities in Middlesex County, driving program scalability, supporting our service navigators, and structuring our offerings to meet both community needs and financial goals.
This position is a launching pad for a high-impact career in healthcare program administration, business development, or strategic management – at Gilead and beyond.
This Role Might Be for You If You’re:
- Mission-driven and motivated by innovation: You’ll help the MHRC shift to a fee-for-service model, creating sustainable strategies that make mental health resources accessible to all.
- A strategic and compassionate leader: You’ll oversee a team of service navigators focused on providing effective and efficient services.
- A skilled relationship-builder: You’ll create partnerships with local businesses and community members, while also collaborating with our Clinical Director and MHRC team to advance our mission.
- A recent MBA or MPH graduate (or current student), with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for community impact.
What You Bring
- Leadership experience in program development, operational efficiency, or healthcare management.
- Business development skills in revenue generation, marketing, community outreach and development, or program scalability.
- Passion for community impact.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
What’s a Bonus (But Not Required)
- Knowledge of Middlesex County: Familiarity with the area’s healthcare systems, community services, local businesses, and social and religious organizations.
- Public health, community service, or healthcare leadership experience. (Experience in recovery, mental health, and addiction clinical services is ideal but not required.)
- Master’s Degree, such as an MPH or MBA with a healthcare focus.
