Were looking for a Mobile Console Developer to focus on developing and maintaining the front-end of our management console. This tool is used by both our staff and customers to create and manage mobile applications that are eventually used by millions of people. Essentially, your role is to build and enhance a platform for mobile app creation and management.

Important Notes

  • Mobile development experience isn't required (though it's a nice-to-have).
  • Whats crucial is your experience with Single Page Applications (SPAs) - our console is a complex SPA.

Tech Stack

  • The console is primarily written using a custom framework called myt. You can check it out on GitHub (https://github.com/maynarddemmon/myt), but fair warning, its pretty obscure. In fact, youd be doubling the framework's user base by joining us!
  • Theres still some jQuery code left from a previous developer, but part of your role will involve phasing that out and converting it to myt.
  • We release weekly so most of our changes are incremental improvements. Larger changes spend more time in a feature branch before release.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong vanilla JavaScript experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining complex UIs.
  • It's also helpful to be able to think through UI problems since we generally work from requirements. We develop our own specifications as needed and take the lead on getting those accepted by the various stakeholders for a feature.
  • The ability and willingness to learn new technologies (like myt).
  • A collaborative mindset to work effectively with fellow engineers, staff, and occasionally customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshooting issues and fixing bugs.
  • Refactoring existing code.
  • Evaluating and balancing trade-offs for new features and functionality.

NRT would like to thank all applicants for applying, but only those applicants best suited for the position will be contacted.
