Staff Accountant

Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance (NORA) is a rapidly growing, private equity backed, company is currently hiring for an Accountant at our corporate office in St Chales, IL. NORA partners with OPOs, Transplant Centers, Hospitals, Laboratories, and Perfusion Companies across North America and specializes in executing a seamless "One Call Solution" for Air and Ground Organ Recovery Transportation, ensuring optimal efficiency and reliability throughout the process.      

JOB DUTIES:

• Assist with review and analysis of general ledger transactions and account reconciliations to ensure proper classification, accuracy and completeness
• Assist with maintenance and control of general ledger
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger and record depreciation
• Prepare and review internal management reporting packages
• Identify and create new internal financial reports to support the needs of key stakeholders across various business units
• Assist with external audit by analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Support the implementation of a new accounting system
• Ad hoc projects as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
• Minimum 3 – 7 years of related accounting experience; 1-3 years of public accounting experience preferred but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
