Minimal, 20% to fulfill job requirements.
HOURS & SCHEDULE:
Generally, Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm (minimum 37.5 hours within five (5) days per week); unless otherwise required or approved by management.
REPORTS TO: This position reports to the Chief Development Officer
Job Summary: The Senior Director of Digital Fundraising will play a critical role in NCMEC’s fundraising efforts by overseeing digital strategies to acquire, engage, cultivate, and upgrade donors through various digital channels (email, social media, websites, etc.). This position requires a strategic and data-driven approach to maximize long-term revenue, focusing on donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation. The Senior Director will provide oversight and strategic direction for annual giving initiatives, and be responsible for Salesforce, Classy, and all other digital fundraising systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Fundraising Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital fundraising campaigns to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors, ensuring alignment with NCMEC’s strategic goals. Create, monitor, and analyze A/B test results, determine specific variables to test and drive NCMEC’s digital fundraising program.
- Donor Engagement & Communication
- Conceptualize, create, and implement integrated communications strategies across email, social media, and website platforms to build donor relationships and increase donor participation. Draft compelling communications for email, SMS and ads, grounded in storytelling, while being sensitive to NCMECs mission and its constituents.
- Collaboration with the Manager of Digital Fundraising Events
- Work closely with development and marketing teams to ensure the annual giving and stewardship calendar is aligned with NCMEC’s overall fundraising efforts.
- Data-Driven Campaign Analysis
- Create dashboards and reports using Salesforce to leverage data analytics, enabling critical analysis of campaign effectiveness and annual giving trends. Create metrics and trackers to continuously monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve results.
- Annual Giving & Broad-Based Philanthropic Outreach
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for annual giving initiatives to increase donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation through targeted digital campaigns.
- Emerging Market Trends & Best Practices
- Stay informed about the latest digital fundraising trends, tools, and technologies, and implement best practices to enhance donor engagement and retention strategies.
- Support Donor Events
- Assist in planning and executing engaging donor events that align with NCMEC’s fundraising goals.
- Brand Adherence & Content Management
- Ensure all digital fundraising efforts adhere to NCMEC’s brand guidelines and maintain consistency in tone and messaging across all digital platforms.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
7-10 years of proven experience in digital fundraising and marketing, with a strong track record of driving donor acquisition and revenue growth.
Technical Skills
Strong Salesforce admin experience required.
Proven experience with email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and website content management systems.
Proven ability to create dashboards and reports to track performance and inform strategy.
Fundraising
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a deep understanding of donor acquisition and retention strategies.
Leadership & Management
Proven experience leading and managing teams, including supervising direct reports and collaborating cross-functionally.
Communication & Collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate strategic plans and collaborate across teams.
Analytical & Results-Oriented
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
Ability to critically analyze campaign performance and make continuous improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in digital fundraising
