As an In-School Branch Intern, you will be responsible for the following:
- Participating in a voluntary vocational type of internship program to work to understand the fundamentals of financial literacy through engagement with their supervisor(s), members, and fellow classmates.
- Performing basic member service and teller functions at their assigned site.
- Practicing their skills in an actual work setting as part the voluntary internship.
- Learning about TFCU, learn about the purpose of financial institutions, train as a teller, learn Symitar (and other systems), learn the basics of confidentiality, perform basic transactions for students, teachers, instructors, or members, and assist the site supervisor with day-to-day functions that branch.
Salary Range:
The In-School Branch Intern position is a voluntary, unpaid internship program. At the successful conclusion of the voluntary internship, the incumbent will receive a class credit for their voluntary participation.
Education/Experience:
You must be a currently enrolled student at Metro Technology Centers (Metro Tech), Springlake campus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority

- The dedication to learn to perform financial and non-financial transactions for students, teachers, instructors, or members.
- A drive to learn how to maintain compliance with BSA and OFAC regulations.
- The ability to maintain regular and punctual class attendance.
