Custodial Host/Hostess

Space Center Houston is a space exploration learning destination dedicated to revealing how science and humanity power space exploration through meaningful, moving experiences about people and the courage, innovation, and teamwork they use to expand the boundaries of what's possible. We inspire guests of all ages to connect with the significance of space exploration as incredible feats of human spaceflight continue to bring joy and wonder to the world. Owned and operated by the nonprofit Manned Space Flight Education Foundation, we are the Official Visitor Center of NASA Johnson Space Center and a Smithsonian affiliate.

The Custodial Host is responsible for achieving and maintaining center-wide cleanliness using proper equipment, cleaners, techniques, and methods of cleaning.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, clean, orderly area.
• Know and execute all emergency and evacuation procedures.
• When interacting with the guests, greet them with a pleasant attitude and smiling face.
• Follow standard operating procedures to methodically and consistently clean areas of responsibility.
• Respond to custodial problems as they occur to ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Accurately document hourly and daily reports.
• Cooperate with fellow crew members, assisting them with common duties and responsibilities of the position to ensure the efficient operation of the area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
