Program Assistant - URM

MISSION IMPACT: All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health, justice and hope.This position is part of the Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Foster Care program (URM) which works to resettle youth ages 15 to 18 in licensed foster families or group homes. The Program Assistant provides administrative support to the Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program, with focus on maintaining medical and educational records of program youth as well as program policies and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain foster care client records including filing, data entry, printing records from database and organizing files
- Develop knowledge and understanding of medical records requests and maintenance
routinely request health records from service providers - Track health/education records, medical logs and reports to ensure program database and client files meet licensing requirements
- Create monthly newsletter
- Maintain fiscal tracking records
- Maintain appropriate program social media postings
- Assist with other administrative duties within the program in collaboration with Program Supervisor
- Provide support to and coordination of program special events
- Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served
- Model and encourage direct, professional communications among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network
- Transport clients to medical and other appointments as needed

- Must pass criminal history background check
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to transport self and clients
- Must have well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to multitask, set priorities and work well in a team
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to work in a multicultural setting
- Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent plus four years related experience or Associate Degree plus two years related experience required. Client record management experience desired.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have current Washington State driver’s license and auto insurance, as well as access to reliable transportation. Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, which must be maintained throughout length of employment.
