Sr. IT Project Manager

THE ROLE: The Senior Information Technology Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage information technology (IT) projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. This position will provide IT support to the entire organization. This position is eligible for remote work, with in person meetings roughly once a month in SeaTac, Washington.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Partner with key leaders and Subject Matter Experts to assess needs, compile data, design, develop, implement and manage systems solutions

Accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle

Provides a leadership role and assists other organizations within the Agency as they implement various new applications

Create and tracks support KPI’s and does trending analysis

Constantly stays on top of Cyber security needs, ensures we have a robust security infrastructure in place, and that employees are adequately trained.

Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.

Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing.

Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.

Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.

Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the department.

Hires, trains, assigns duties and responsibilities, and oversees workflow of project staff.

Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.

At least five years of related experience required.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to project manage a MS enterprise system conversion preferred.

Demonstrated experience managing the implementation and/or optimization of Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
