THE ROLE:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the agency’s Neon CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and fundraising platform, including upgrades, integration, configuration, reports, data flows, security, support, training, and interfaces.  This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of Advancement’s fundraising efforts and opportunities, internal funding data, as well as various requirements for funding sources, through appropriate system configuration; audits and reporting support; investigation and root cause analysis; and system/data fixes. This role is also responsible for coordinating and providing technical guidance and support to the advancement team as needed.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate development of a positive staff support network.

  • Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity of our client services with special recognition of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations we serve.

  • Be an active participant of the Agency’s IT Team by participating in meetings and conference calls, contributing to projects, and freely sharing information.

  • Assist in the development, administration, maintenance, and modification of Neon as well as other Agency systems, in relation to technical and user processes, procedures, and guidelines; maintain centralized documentation and share with relevant stakeholders as needed.

  • Investigate, analyze, and diagnose issues, such as user error or application problems, for data issues; identify patterns and recommend solutions for recurring issues.

  • Provide Technical Support to Neon and other Agency application users.

  • Independently and in partnership with the subject matter experts as needed, meet with users to develop, maintain, produce, distribute, and update standard and custom reports and queries, as well as ad hoc reports. 

  • In conjunction with the subject matter experts, structure and help interface data to interact with outside systems, such as MIP (Financial) and Ironclad (Contract) systems.

  • Maintain user accounts and user access within Neon and other systems, maintaining data integrity, security, and privacy.

  • Facilitate vendor communication, provide Agency needs and work on solutions regularly.

  • Create and maintain the dashboards and web interfaces for Neon campaign and giving sites.

  • Crosstrain with other LCSNW systems administrators to support each other and understand Enterprise Applications breadth of work and internal data flows.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

  • Experienced in system administration, preferably with Neon, or other CRM or Financial data systems.

  • Experienced with data preparation and integration, working with data tables and being able to write complex SQL queries.

  • Experience in setting up templated web interfaces and dashboards.

  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.

  • Through documentation skills for both technical processes and end user training.

  • Experience managing user accounts and account security policies.

 

Education and/or Experience:

A minimum of a HS diploma or equivalent is required.  A minimum of three years of experience in IT, Financial, or CRM systems administration, or direct Neon application experience is required.
