Summary:

Part-time position that assists with the maintenance and operation of the Utility and Janitorial Warehouses. Responds to internal customers, vendors, and delivery personnel in a prompt and courteous manner.  Working hours 11:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday through Friday, and on-call every other week to issue inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining supply warehouses, supply yard, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner
• Offloads incoming shipments, using a forklift when needed. Verify quantities received to packing slip, bill of lading, or other shipment record, noting any count discrepancies or damage to shipment on the shipment record prior to submitting to the Warehouse Coordinator for processing
• As directed by Warehouse Coordinator, locates checked-in shipments to designated stock locations, ensuring stock is rotated so oldest items are issued first
  
• Issues parts to internal departments, maintaining accuracy of information contained on the issue tickets
  
• Completes cycle counts of inventory, comparing system-recorded quantities to stock available in the warehouse
  
• Works with Warehouse Coordinator to reconcile any identified inventory differences
  
• On-call/standby every other week to issue inventory after hours, schedule may be adjusted based on organizational demands
  
• Responds to inventory needs promptly (30mins) when scheduled for on-call/standby shifts
  
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Coordinator or department leaders, including making miscellaneous deliveries, shredding, etc.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
   
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Forklift driving experience
  
• Knowledge of water and sewer supplies
  
  

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid Texas drivers license
