Summary
Under general supervision of the GIS Manager, gathers and verifies assets for the inventory and maintenance of municipal infrastructure. This position utilizes Trimble, Leica, and/or ESRI products to obtain and process field survey data. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects GPS (Global Position System) locations for structural, land and operational assets within the City of Temple
• Locates and assesses condition of infrastructure including signage, water sewer, drainage, solid waste, park, and pavement features
• Integrates collected data into GIS database and responds to requests for grade elevations, locates and mapping as needed
• Maintains and calibrates collection equipment
• Scans and files historic construction records
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Computer Aided Design, GIS or related field
• One year experience operating GPS collection devices 
• Ability to identify, categorize and assess various assets in the field 
• Familiarity with ESRI applications including Field Maps 

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience with ESRI ArcPro desktop 
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro and/or AutoDesk products 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

• Valid driver’s license
