Recreation Leader II - PT at Wilson Recreation Center

Summary

Under the supervision of a Program Coordinator or Recreation Specialist this position supports the programs and activities of the Wilson Park Recreation Center. Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety and well-being of patrons and program participants
• Answers phones, greets guests, and provides information to patrons
• Receives money and records registration and membership information
• Maintains essential records and prepares reports as required; to include but not limited to participation reports, usage reports, accident reports, and work orders
• Enforces facility rules and policies
• Provides support at department programs, special events, afterschool programs, and camps
• Performs daily tasks such as clean, file, sort, copy, and other general office tasks
• Opens, closes, and performs facility attendant duties for recreation centers and rental facilities
• Follows all city policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of two years of High School
• 1 year of working in related area

Preferred Qualifications

• Supervisory experience
