Chief Risk and Compliance Officer; Privacy Officer
The Chief Risk & Compliance Privacy Officer is a high-level administrative role responsible for setting the strategic direction of compliance programs and aligning them with the Barber National Institute’s mission and objectives. You will oversee risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and quality management while ensuring ethical operations across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Leading compliance team meetings to review progress on audits, risk assessments, and regulatory updates.
- Overseeing the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and operational standards.
- Meeting with department heads to address compliance issues, provide guidance, and offer tailored solutions.
- Reviewing and analyzing internal monitoring reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinating with HR and education teams to deliver effective compliance training programs for staff.
- Investigating reported compliance concerns, determining corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Preparing and submitting required regulatory filings and reports to external agencies and internal leadership.
- Conducting risk assessments with service line leaders to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborating with IT on HIPAA privacy reviews and addressing any gaps in data protection practices.
- Reporting updates to executive leadership on compliance program effectiveness, emerging risks, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Law, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of management experience in healthcare, including 5+ years in compliance roles.
- Familiarity with compliance elements, HIPAA/HITECH regulations, and Pennsylvania human services laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance.
- FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirement.
