ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test and process all raw materials, intermediates and finished goods samples in a timely manner.
  • Perform QA floor audits, analysis, etc.
  • Document test results as required by the BakeMark Bakery Products quality control testing procedures.
  • Evaluate test results and communicating deviations from the product specifications to the QA Supervisor and operators.
  • Collect samples: raw materials, intermediates and finished goods to submit for microbial testing and evaluation at contract labs.
  • Data entry into various systems and spreadsheets for QA program reporting.
  • Bake samples in lab.
  • Perform pre-op and changeover inspections (including collecting ATP swabs) as required.
  • Enter test data and release products in ERP (OLX) system. Segregate, and mark any non-conforming product identified while performing line verifications or product evaluation.
  • Complete all necessary reporting and recordkeeping on product samples released and perform data entry for Statistical Process Control of production in a timely manner;  Complete Certificates of Analysis as required.
  • Perform daily equipment calibration.
  • Perform established analytical tests on specified raw ingredients and certify for use in production.
  • In conjunction with programs developed by the QA Supervisor and QA Manager, assists in training new QA Laboratory technicians in physical baking and analytical testing procedures as well as inspection audit requirements.
  • Complete established shelf-life tests of product samples as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness on line and 58 standards. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift. End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift. Ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support and comply with GMP's.
  • Participate in TPM initiatives.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet company goals.
