Maintenance Mechanic
Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the production equipment and plant facility in a conscientious and reliable manner, consistent with Company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative and repair maintenance on equipment.
- Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Records preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in timely manner.
- Troubleshoots various areas in the plant.
- Regular inspections and test procedures.
- Completes work orders and responds to maintenance calls.
- Inventories spare parts and reports usage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have 3 or more years of related experience.
- Two years or more Technical School education preferred.
- PLC skills.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical & electro - mechanical systems.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, comprehend and interpret written instructions and procedures, business correspondence, reports and schedules.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations, using a ten-key, calculator and computer.
REASONING ABILITY
Requires the ability to independently define problems, collect data, establish facts and solve practical problems.
Must be able to apply common sense when problem solving. Must be able to apply routine protocols as well as identify when the routines do not apply in a specific situation. The position requires the ability to develop priorities and adjust work plans to meet deadlines.
