SUMMARY
Directs the daily activities of the Branch Inside Sales and Customer Service teams. Works closely with the General Manager to grow Branch Inside Traditional Trade sales and to provide world class customer service. Works closely with the Human Resources Traditional Trade Business Partner to ensure compliance of policies. Works closely with other Branch departments to ensure prompt communication to Sales and Customers relating to the selling process
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist General Manager as appropriate and in report preparation
Directly manages Inside Sales representatives and Customer Service teams
Developing and executing Inside Sales representatives annual sales budgets
Supporting and executing Traditional Trade sales initiatives
Updating and assigning hourly labor schedules in e-time
Training and developing staff
Completion of associate mid- year and annual performance appraisals
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
Other duties may be assigned to meet company goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities as a member of Branch staff, in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Directly supervises non-exempt administrative employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; developing direct reports; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Strong leadership skills.
Ability to supervise others.
Strong PC skills including Excel, Access and Word.
Able to handle information requests in a timely fashion.
Able to organize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
4 year Degree in Accounting or Business and four years of related experience; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in MS Office 2003, advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. NDS and PS (Power Sell) proficiently a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee will be required to speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Duties will be performed primarily indoors in an office-type environment, with occasional work being performed in a warehouse and/or freezer (exposure to –15 degree temperatures).
