Product Manager

SUMMARY: As a Product Manager, you are responsible for product planning, delivery, and marketing throughout the product lifecycle. You will develop the vision and roadmap for the product based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and your own insight. You will work closely with Engineering and other teams to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs, and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard. You will develop a forecast for products based on input from marketing, sales, market analysts, and your own experience, then manage its delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product vision and strategy that aligns with the goals of the business unit.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle from initial concept to final launch, including the creation of End of Line announcements, Engineering Change Orders, and Product Announcement Communications.
- Maintain product roadmap based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of the product strategy.
- Assist in the creation of marketing collateral for demand generation and thought leadership initiatives.
- Drive new projects from ideation through implementation and launch, focusing on excellent execution across hardware, firmware, and services.
- Stay informed about market trends, competition, and customer behavior.
- Define and communicate clear product requirements.
- Champion the user experience for our customers.
- Own product budgets, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts.
- Define and analyze performance metrics to measure the success of our products in the market.
- Foster a culture of innovation and user-centric design.
- Cultivate a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Occasional business travel domestic and International
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, influential leadership and collaboration skills; collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience launching high volume hardware and software platforms ideal.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Ability to travel and work with a global team of professionals.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in product management required. 1-2+ years focused on IoT or wireless products/solutions desired.
- Proven experience in product management with a successful track record of bringing products to market.
- Demonstrated success in the development and launch of a successful IoT or wireless products that grew revenues, ideally IoT or wireless products.
- Working knowledge in cellular wireless technologies such as 4G LTE, 5G, and eSIM, as well as IoT technologies like LoRa, NB-IoT, BLE, and other short-range wireless technologies ideal.
- Experience working within product development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting requirements up to 25 pounds.
- Requires sitting for periods of time and walking for periods of time.
- Reaching required.
- Requires travel using all modes of transportation.
- Requires a valid passport.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.
- Our Minnesota facility includes a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Loose fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted. No food allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in manufacturing area unless approved by management.
