Test Operator (Second Shift)
SUMMARY: Adheres to the quality system standards pertaining to the testing and assembling of electronic devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform test requirements on basic products.
- Assemble chassis, cables, and wires other related assemblies per schedule and referencing QA check sheet.
- Operate in-circuit testers as required.
- Uses visual aids, verbal, and written instructions to perform the job.
- Adheres to ESD requirements and safety rules.
- Produce high quality products to exceed customer expectations.
- Follows MultiTech rules and policies.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills in English.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools, and computers.
- Knowledge of production planning and quality management systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean principles preferred.
- Basic PC knowledge.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One to three months related experience and/or training.
- On the job training provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting requirements up to 40 pounds.
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for periods of time.
- Reaching required.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Color vision preferred, but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Food is not allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in the manufacturing area unless approved by management.
